COVID-19 affect on business

First and foremost, we hope everyone is hanging in there during this stressful time. Please take care of yourselves and others who are in need. Please abide by state and local mandates, keep yourselves informed, and most of all stay patient and kind. We will all get through this.

For the next two weeks, we will be offering TO-GO service for our beer (hours will be posted soon) and on Tuesday, March 17th from 5pm to 8pm you may pick up Corned Beef & Cabbage Dinners to take home. Beer and Irish soda bread will also be available. This decision was not made lightly, but after careful consideration, Bangor Trust Brewing will be following the statewide shutdown for non-essential businesses and our brewery will not be available for dine-in or bar service for the next 2 weeks. Bangor Trust will also continue with their cleaning efforts over the next 2 weeks to create a safe and healthy environment for you to enjoy when we reopen.

We received the following statement (copy pasted excerpt) from the Brewers of Pennsylvania:
“Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf orders two-week statewide shutdown: March 16, 2020, 2:00 PM: ALL COUNTIES NOW INCLUDED: Governor Wolf has required all non-essential businesses, such as restaurants, bars, and non-supermarket/gas station retail locations to close for on-premises sales across the Commonwealth. It appears that to-go, curbside and delivery sales are still permitted by food and beverage businesses…. …Food and beverage businesses such as restaurants, breweries, and bars, can still offer online or to-go sales but may not offer on-premises sales…” (courtesy of the Brewers of PA)
We are very concerned for the health and welfare of every individual, that goes without saying. We are also concerned for Pennsylvania businesses, especially those in the brewing community and all small family owned and operated in the Commonwealth. Selfishly, the timing for this couldn’t be worse for Bangor Trust Brewing as we just reopened 3 weeks ago after being closed for nearly 4 months, but we’ll get through this thanks to our patrons, family and friends.

We thank you for reading, and thank you for your continued support. We’ll keep you posted on to-go specials and hours as well as some creative online sales options. Thanks again and all of us at Bangor Trust Brewing wish you and your families all the best. Be safe, stay healthy, be kind
